Field Currents Nowcast
This near surface field currents velocity animation was created from the latest LSOFS nowcast. The nowcast is for the most recent field currents velocities as simulated by the model when the entire Lake Superior is forced by recent observations of coastal water levels and winds. Currents through the deeper navigation channel are stronger than those in the shallower areas.
